Onsite Boarding/Training:
We offer a program whereyou bring your horse to our farm for board/training. Your horse will be out into an intensive training program. We have a wonderful facility in the hills of Montville, Maine, with everything your horse needs. I have several training stalls that fill up very fast during the training season. Your horse will get everything it could need, plus excellent training during his/her stay at SH Ranch. Check out our "Boarding" page for the accomadation information. I feel when they stay here with us, they get more one on one time and you get more for your buck. They are exposed to traffic, kids, dogs, balls, other horses, and much more during their training sessions. On trails, they are exposed to roads, traffic, kids, hills, jumps, motorcycles, bikes, etc. IN the ring, we work on agility & ability in the discipline of your choice. I have a 100% success rate for the horses. We provide daily training sessions 5 days per week. Sessions consist of the fullest training exposure within that session depending on the condition of the horse and the willingness of his/her mind. The training consists of everything from the ground up. You specify the style and disciplines. Your horse is trained with a kind and gentle hand with Natural horsemanship...the way it was intended to be. It brings back to you a safe and sound horse with a wonderful understanding of the horse and rider relationship. The only thing I ask, is that you provide your special grain and supplements, since each horse requires different items. I recommend during training that a horse be on electrolytes, but it is not required. You are always welcome to stop by to see your horse at any time. We want you to know that your horse is safe and we have nothing to hide from you, as some trainers do. You will recieve a report on your horses progress every few days via email...so that you are aware of his training through the month. I also provide at least one lesson before you take your horse home. I will show you techniques and ways to deal with your horse. This way you do not feel lost when you bring him home. You can then continue working with your horse with knowledge and confidence.
We offer many different training packages. However, we recommend at least the 60 day program. This way your horse is not overwhelmed with information in the program.
My charge is $675 for the full board 30 day training program
$650 per month for 60 day program
We also reserve training stalls/spots for entire summer packages (email for more info)
Travel Training Rates:
In some cases we offer to travel to your home and work with you and your horse for up to two hours. We go over everything from the ground up for a safer experience. Round pens are a plus, but are not necessary. I can help you establish the right relationship for you and your horse. Do not give up on that horse that everyone says can never be trained...let me take a shot. I can help you get back the horse that you want, had, and desire. Dressage, western, driving, riding, side saddle, jumping, trail riding, gymkhana, cross country, loading, and so much more. You tell me what you want fixed and we will fix it. I start young horses and finish horses. So whatever your needs or desires are for your horse, just ask. Sometimes all you need is that little bit of help to get you where you want to be.
$55 per hour plus travel fees
Drill Team (check out the drill team page):
We work with you and your horse to get the two of you in sync for riding. We can help you to perfect your riding skills in many disciplines while working with your horse to achieve the perfect relationship between horse and rider.
We can also work on dressage style lessons for the chance to try out for the drill team. The Drill Team performs at many events and shows. It takes extreme commitment to join, but it is so much fun! What a great experience!

Informational Clinics and demonstrations (check out our clinics page):
We can design a clinic that suits you and your barn. From driving clinics, trailer loading clinics, ground work and joining up clinics, to any clinic of your choice. We will travel to you and your facility and work with horses that your guests/boarders bring. We can also bring horses for the clinic if need be. Anything that you charge your guests above my rates will be your profit. This brings business and education to your barn.
$100 per hour with 3 hour minimum (prices subject to change)
Appearances for public openings or events:
We will travel to your place of business or event and set up for a minimum of 2 hours. We can bring a horse of your choice:
The English Shire is the most popular due to his size. He stands 18.3 and weighs over 2000. He is gentle and can be pet and viewed by all.
We have other horses, you can inquire if interested.
We set up saddles for the children to play on, a viewing pen that is safe for people to pet and admire the horse safely, information and flyers passed out about your event.
Believe me....it draws a crowd for your event!

Physical and Message Therapy:
Some horses will need deep tissue sports message or a physical therapy program after an injury. Some need it simply after riding. I will come to your barn and apply a therapy program that is right for your horse. Starting with an evaluation, stretch program, message, and alignments.
$65 per visit plus travel fees
Evaluations and appraisals:
I can come with you when you are choosing a horse and give you and evaluation of the horse. It will save you money and time. I can also evaluate your horse which you have already purchased and tell you what program would best suit him. I can help you determine what your horse is worth or what you should be paying for a horse you are interested in. Get the help you need to find the right horse.
