Some nice letters from some of our clients:

Here are some pictures for you! I think the look on Hope's face says it all. I have had some wonderfull rides on Storm. I am working on going for a trail ride on Thursday. I spent last week in the small arena (a half hour a day everyday but Sunday) and I am moving to the big pasture on Monday. Ted says Hi and that the grass isn't as good here as your place but he loves all the visitors. My Dad had a ride on Storm Saturday (with me right by his side with the lead rope of course) he was really wanted to do it even though he is 74, he just loved it. I will e-mail you my tesitmony tommorow from work.

All our best!

Drill Team

Kamrie has taught my daughter so much about relaxing and enjoying her horse, all the while being sure the horse knows who is in charge. Our 4 year old quarter horse has come a long way, in a short period of time, due to Kamrie's guidance in training her.The drill team has really built her confidence in having fun with her horse, and taught her a whole new aspect of horsemanship.Kamrie's professionalism and love for horses is admirable, along with her ability to pass on this enthusiasm to her students.

You're the best trainer I have ever met and worked with. You have high tolerance and patience with people of all ages. You're more than just a trainer to me. You're there for all of us when we have millions of questions. You are serious about your work, but you always turn our lessons into something fun. Drill team has been the best experience for me. We can't do it without you and all our hard work and money is paying off.  You may work us into the ground, but you know how hard we can be pushed. You challenge us to the best of our abilities. Over all you're the greatest trainer for any student and a great horse whisperer.

Kamrie is the best trainer I have ever had. She is nice and very sweet with the horses. She has been my trainer for almost 3 years now and I am still learning things very time we meet. I am part of her drill team with a horse that she trained. It was said that my horse was not safe to ride but Kamrie kept faith. After only a few sessions with my horse he was safe and ready to be safely ridden. It was a simple problem and Kamrie fixed it!! I love Kamrie to death and I have no idea where I would be with my horse now if it weren't for her!! I really do hope that if your horse does need training that you will choose Kamrie! she never loses hope or faith in a horse!

Appraisals and Evaluations

Kamrie was a great influence into bringing myself back into the world of horses. I had been raised in farm country, always had a love of horses, yet over years let slip away my enjoyment of them. Through a repeated nudging...lol, I finally became more involved. When things fell into place, it was Kamrie I asked to check out and tell me if Sachamo, aka: "Satch" would be what I believed him to be in hiding. Through many, many homes did he pass in a short time. Every experience just made more of a distaste in his mind for people and trailering for this horse. But in him I saw, and had conformation through Kamrie with her knowledge & experience, the horse I am with today. Kamrie has a motto of never giving up... She believes there is good in the depth of heart & soul of any horse, if you take the time to pursue it. Her "gift" is more than from just books, clinics, or learning. It is also from the heart and soul, of reaching within the horse to calm and have a positive response. To let the horse know the human fear factor is gone and that learning can be both enjoyable and a reward in experience for both the rider & mount. Very direct and straight forward at times in guidence, but if you listen to the lesson and follow through with her directions, both you and your horse will take major steps forward together.

Problem Horse Training

My husband and I have been looking for a trainer for a while now. We have a horse than has some serious problems that he came with when we bought him. He kicks, bites, charges, and is just plain violent. When we bought him, he was clam, very quiet, and seemed too good to be true. I guess it was. Because about 3 days after he arrived at our home, he changed. It was like he woke up from his trance. I am sure he was drugged when we "viewed" him. But we chose to keep him. Give him a fair chance at life instead of going from farm to farm and auction to auction. I tried several local trainers, trainers from far away, board training, and everything we could think of. No one could get near him, no one could get in his head. We had heard that a horse trainer had moved to the Knox area, we thought "maybe this is it." So when we called this "new" trainer to our area, she came right over to evaluate him. It was MAGIC. She walked in and just stood there. They stared at eachother for some time and then she started to speak. She told us so many things and all the while working with him. Her eyes never left his body while she spoke to us. I have never seen anything like it. It was like she knew his every move, his every thought. In only 35 minutes, she got further with him than all the "trainers" put together. She is so knowledgable and kind with horses. It actually brought me to tears to see him respond to her like that. She brought me and my husband into the pen with her and we were able to pet and love on him for the first time since he changed. He loved it. I look very forward to sending him to her farm in June. I am so excited to see what this TRUE "HORSE WHISPERER" can do with my horse. We are so lucky to have her move to our state. I would recommend her to anyone that has a horse.

I sent my very skittish, rearing tobiano paint to Spirited Horses Training   Center during the month of May 05.  When he left my farm, he was unridable and very nervous about brushing or tacking up.  I had a few other trainers to my farm to evaluate and train him to no avail.  Every one of them refused to even attempt to get on this horse.  I brought him to Kamrie, and I got an email 3 days later that said she had ridden him and taken him on a trail ride.  I was amazed.  When I picked him up 30 days later, he was a very changed horse.  He goes down the road with cars and trucks whizzing by him.  She also found his major issue, he has severe muscle spasms in his back as a result of his nervousness about spurs and getting hurt.  I had never ridden him in spurs, but when I was boarding my horses out, they would take my horses on a yahoo trail ride without my permission.  I am very satisfied with her training of my horse and sing her praises to any disgruntled horse person with an equine problem.  Spirited horses has my business every time.  Kamrie is a very knowledgeable horse person with a passion for what she does.  She's concerned about what the owner thinks, as well as what may be going on in the horse's head.  She couldn't stress enough to me the words "kind assertiveness".  We spent thousands of dollars before with "trainers" that obviously had no clue, and now, my money was well spent.  Thanks Kamrie!!!!

Kamrie is awesome. She communicates directly with each of the horses she trains. She has done amazing things with my horses. I was told that my 2 horses that were rearing and behaving poorly would have to be sold and that they would never be safe for my riding programs. After only 4 sessions with Kamrie, my horses were calm, relaxed and willing to respond to the rider's commands without difficulties. The 2 horses have become members of Kamrie's drill team. Kamrie has trained every one of my horses. Kamrie has compassion for each and every horse. Kamrie treats the horses with respect and she is firm but gentle and kind to each animal she works with. I have referred Kamrie to many other horse owners and they all say the same thing. Kamrie is awesome.

Kamrie Hodgeman has been working with my two horses for a year.  The mare was simply in need of a refresher course, but the stallion was a real challenge, given to bolting, bucking, and lots of other bad, even dangerous, behavior.  Kamrie is the third, fourth if one includes myself, to attempt training this horse.  Kamrie, with firm but gentle methods and lots of know how, has accomplished more in five months of weekly session with this horse than all previous attempts put together.  While there is much still to do, progress has been steady.  I highly recommend Ms. Hodgeman for training any horse.

I met Kamrie about three years ago.For years I had an old horse that I rode every now and then, not really gaining riding skills, just familiarity with horses.  When that horse died,a friend and I decided to buy two horses and learn to ride.  We found Kamrie and she helped us buy the horses, and then get us ready to ride them.  Since I am over fifty, my hesitations revolved around not being fit enough to do it, but Kamrie gave me the confidence to do it.  In the beginning she rode along side me, giving pointers, and just being there in case the horse did something weird that I was not ready for.  Later she helped us ease them into riding again after a long winter.  Once my horse mysteriously developed colic.  Kamrie came over immediately and performed Herculean tasks to get my horse beyond an impacted bowel situation.  I cannot recommend her confidence , reliability and knowledge enough. She is the person I want there in an emergency.

Kamrie has been very instrumental in helping me with my quarter horse. She has brought him from being a horse that had several issues, to a wonderful trail horse that I love very much. She has the ability to get into the horse's head and establish a relationship with the horse. She truly is a Horse Whisperer!!!!!

What a success Kamrie has had training my children's pony.  My husband and I spent two years trying various methods with this pony to no avail.  The pony always found new and interesting ways to frustrate us.  In four training sessions, Kamrie has taken an ornery pony and turned him into a pleasant one.  My oldest trail rode him yesterday without incident.  I highly recommend Kamrie for training a horse.

Kamrie Hodgeman has been helping us with a problem horse for only two lessons, but the results are already wonderful. She has an exceptional sensitivity to the personality and thoughts of horses which has been very helpful and effective in correcting our mistakes. The position of the rider, the psition of the saddle and the fit of the bit have all been corrected. Most importantly, however is her understanding of how this dear horse feels about his rider and her encouragement to make them a good team. Our horses respond to Kamrie with trust and willing obedience. We look forward to many more succesful occasions under her joyful and positive direction.

Therapy and Training

Hello Kamrie,I just wanted to let you know how happy I was with the results from the session you had with this little Quarter Horse I have.I had heard from other people how good and knowledgeable you were and what a kind hand you had with the horses but it was truly remarkable to see you work, after only one session with this horse I could see a big difference in her.No one else could touch her feet and I believe she would have ended up crippled if it weren't for you.You are by far the best trainer I have ever seen.Thank You so much

Starting & Finishing Young Horses

Kamrie Hodgeman has been training our 2 year old QH for
6 weeks. My daughter and I have had horses for only 2 years
and we are learning everyday. Kamrie is very informative and
helpful and has and endless knowledge of horses. Mystery, our
horse has progressed in 6 weeks more than we could have ever
imagined. My 9 year old daughter Emma has been on his back
twice with Kamrie's careful guidance. I plan on having Kamrie as
a trainer for a long time. She's wonderful.

I am thrilled with the work that Kamrie has done with my yearling Appy filly named Little Miss Scaredy Pants.  I generally train my own horses but this little girl was just a little more than I wanted to handle.  Kamrie worked with my filly for only a few minutes and I saw changes in her posture and expression.  After a few more minutes the head and neck were lowered and she began to step easy.  Scamp began to follow her around doing whatever Kamrie would ask of her.  Her second lesson proved to be even better than the first.  I really liked the fact that Kamrie encouraged me to stay, watch and participate in my little one's training.  She had nothing to hide...unlike a lot of trainers.  I look forward to her weekly visits and would recommend her to anyone.  She really does a wonderful job working with horses.

When asked about Kamrie several words come to mind.  Honest, caring, knowledgeable, firm, kind, happy, practical, forward thinking, dependable, friend and most of all fun.  While Kamrie has been training our two year old gelding, she has been all of the above and not only trained the horse but has given me and my husband pointers and lessons also.  She instills confidence in not only the horse but in the owner/rider as well.
